It is dedicated to the famous legend of Urashima Taro, the fisherman who visited the underwater palace. The shrine grounds are incredibly peaceful and completely empty compared to the crowded temples in central Kyoto. There is a small museum on site that holds ancient scrolls and artifacts related to the folklore which was really cool to see.]]></description>
