Piazza Santa Croce Weihnachtsmarkt

Florence Ice Village

Florence’s beloved Ice Village is back in 2025, and this time, it’s taken over the grounds of the Fortezza da Basso. Running until January 26, 2025, this winter wonderland is home to Tuscany’s largest ice-skating rink, a soaring 55-metre panoramic Ferris wheel. But beyond the ice, you’ll find a vibrant village atmosphere with various little food stalls serving everything from hot chocolate to street food classics. The towering Ferris wheel (the tallest in Italy!) offers dazzling views over Florence’s rooftops, and there’s even a Santa Claus House for little ones to visit.

The Fierucola of the Immaculate

Held each year, for one weekend, in early December, the Fierucola dell’Immacolata opens up for locals and visitors alike to celebrate community, sustainability, and artisan craftsmanship. For two days only, at the end of November, the spirit of the North settles into Florence with the return of Joulutori, the city’s much-loved Nordic Christmas Market. Now in its third edition and more enchanting than ever, this pop-up event brings Scandinavian style, seasonal flavours, and a refreshingly minimalist aesthetic. Visitors can browse a thoughtfully curated selection of handcrafted Nordic goods, think sleek, functional design pieces, cozy knitwear, wooden ornaments, and delicate winter decorations.
